My Journey
I hold a BA in Psychology and Sociology, along with a Master’s degree in Counselling. Even before completing my Master’s in 2024, I had been supporting clients for many years—through my 20+ year career as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), as well as over a decade of offering intuitive readings.
I have also studied a wide range of healing modalities and am a Reiki Master and a Master Practitioner in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming).
In addition, I have facilitated workshops and group programs focused on spiritual and personal growth, including meditation groups, women’s spiritual development circles, and most recently, grief support groups for young widows and widowers.
I was inspired to return to school after recognizing a gap in the counselling landscape during my own search for a counsellor. I struggled to find a therapist who welcomed my spiritual beliefs and experiences into the counselling room, and who had the knowledge and experience to support both my personal and spiritual growth. While I didn’t need spirituality to be part of every session, I did need to be able to talk openly about it when it was relevant. My spirituality is an integral part of who I am, and I understand the importance of having a safe space to explore that aspect of ourselves.
There are many paths to the truth, and the trick is finding out which path is meant for us and then having the courage to walk it. Personal growth isn’t for everyone. Some people are quite content with their lives and have no desire to go digging into their “stuff”. I am not one of those people. I have always been a seeker and I am intrigued by the human experience and what makes us tick. The work I do is reflective of my passion for personal and spiritual growth, both my own and that of others.
Originally from Toronto, I have lived in various cities across Canada including Kingston, St. John’s, Kamsack, Nelson, and Victoria. As of September 2025, I am back in St. John’s where I live with my husband and our very handsome ginger tabby named Sook.
